Laser Skin Resurfacing Stirling

At Ever Clinic, we’d love to hear from you if you’re seeking laser skin resurfacing near Stirling. The most rewarding method of rejuvenating the skin on the face is fully ablative laser resurfacing. Patients can undergo this procedure to restore confidence and rejuvenate facial skin. Furthermore, wrinkles and other signs of ageing can be removed with the procedure, and skin texture can be improved. Dr Cormac, our Medical Director at Ever Clinic, performs fully ablative laser surfacing at Ever Clinic.

It is necessary to use surgical-grade lasers in order to treat appropriately and safely. Sciton Joule X and Lumenis Ultrapulse are the only two machines we use at Ever Clinic. A single machine costs around £130k and offers the correct level of ablation necessary to deliver a satisfactory result for the patient. In addition, cheaper aesthetic grade lasers such as C02RE, Deka Smartide and Alma Pixel require little or no training and are underpowered. Therefore, they are unable to provide satisfactory results. Check out the before and after images on our website as well as the short video of the procedure.

In order to perform facial laser surgery, local anaesthesia is applied to the patient. A more youthful appearance can also be achieved by treating lax skin around the eyes and wrinkles. Dr Cormac is one of the few surgeons who are capable of doing this surgery. Rejuvenation of the skin is one of his specialities.

One of the significant advantages of this procedure is that it is permanent. After the healing process has been completed, you will have your new look skin. This procedure does not require repetition, unlike other cosmetic treatments such as demi-plumping, botox, or fractional resurfacing. When you take good care of your skin, you will see long-term results for many years.

What’s the step by step procedure for this treatment?

Step 1

A 1-to-1 consultation at our clinic is essential before we agree to any treatment. The procedure details should be transparent to you so that we fully understand your expectations. Our goal is to answer any questions you might have about the treatment and possible risks & side effects. Since we have a duty of care to our patients, we must ensure that the treatment is 100% appropriate.

Step 2

On the day of the procedure, you will have another brief consultation with Dr Cormac that will clarify what’s about to happen. During this consultation, a consent form will be passed over to the patient to sign, clarifying that we have permission to carry out the procedure. We’re now ready to start the actual procedure, and we’ll fully prepare the face by applying a special topical anaesthetic gel. The preparation will last for around 45 minutes, and following this, you’ll be kindly taken into the procedure room.

Step 3

In the next step, the fully ablative laser procedure will be performed after eyedrops, and metal contact lenses have been inserted. Most treatments last between 45 minutes to an hour, although they can sometimes take a little longer. During the procedure, you may experience a prickly burning sensation, but this is very common and can be easily managed. Most people would describe the pain as moderate. You can see this procedure’s impact by looking at the above before and after pictures.

Step 4

Upon completion of treatment, there is a possibility of experiencing a burning or hot sensation for up to 24 hours. The team at Dr Cormac’s will provide step-by-step guidance and instructions on how to best care for your skin.

FAQ’s About Laser Resurfacing Treatments in Stirling

What are ablative lasers?

The superficial layer of skin (epidermis) is removed by ablative lasers, and the deeper layer (dermis) is heated. We utilise ablative lasers that stimulate collagen fibre growth to tighten and smooth the treated area. While ablative lasers come in a variety of types, we prefer fully ablative lasers such as C02 and erbium: YAG for our laser skin resurfacing treatments near Stirling.

What is laser skin resurfacing?

Laser treatment can improve the appearance of the skin by resurfacing the surface of the skin. Acne scars and wrinkles near Stirling can be treated effectively with laser skin resurfacing. As well as treating sun-damaged skin, it can also repair skin that has been damaged by the environment. Every step of the treatment is performed with precision and safety in mind.

How long does it take to recover after treatment?

You’ll be glad to know that it doesn’t take long at all to completely recover from the treatment. Normally only one week of downtime is necessary and required. We’ll instruct you professionally and provide the highest quality aftercare, but this can vary from person to person.
